What’s the defining feature of using an application on a Tablet PC? You’re using your fingers.
You don’t want to be hunting and pecking at tiny menus and buttons when you’re in the field. We’ve designed the TrueNorth user interface with this in mind. We call it “fat finger ready”.
There are almost no “menus” in TrueNorth; all common user interface elements are available on the “ribbon” – think of it as a massive tool bar. What menus we do have are in a large font, and largely duplicate functionality from other controls. You can navigate the map directly with your fingers
And when you don’t need the massive tool bar, you can hide it away.
