Flexibility and Extensibility in Mind
TrueNorth is designed with extensibility, and multi-platform support in mind. One way to see this is in the common elements shared between TrueNorth Borealis and TrueNorth Standard editions .
Borealis was designed to be tablet ready, mobile friendly and to have a simple user interface that’s very easy to use in the field. However, the initial release of Borealis was developed over a two week period in response to user demand for a simpler version of TrueNorth. This was only possible because of the modular, “pluggable” Architecture of TrueNorth.
The Standard, and Professional editions of TrueNorth are based on the multi-window dockable user interface, but share all of the same base components with Borealis – including the plugins.
And finally, the Enterprise and Developer edition of TrueNorth open up the TrueNorth API for custom software develop and integration into enterprise environments.
